A First-Born Daughter Who Broke the Cycle—Now Helping You Do the Same

Founder of Restority Space, Fanny Tristan with curly hair, glasses, and red earrings stands against a brick wall, wearing a bold blue and yellow plaid coat. A portrait of strength, self-assurance, and individuality.

Hi, my name is Fanny Tristan,Trauma Therapist, Mother, daughter of Afro-Peruvian immigrants, and founder of Restority Space.

Growing up, I was the one who had to figure things out first.

  • The first to go to college.

  • The first to start a good career.

  • The first to show my family what was possible.

I carried the expectations, the unspoken pressure, and the weight of being the one who “made it.”

But for a long time, I struggled to find my own voice.

Like many first-born daughters, I learned early that being valuable meant being responsible. That my worth was measured by how much I could handle, fix, and hold together for everyone else. I knew how to achieve, how to perform, how to meet the highest standards—but not how to ask for help.

I get it—because I’ve lived it. And now, I help women like you rewrite that story.

How I Got Here

I’ve spent over 15 years as a licensed trauma therapist, working in psychiatric and community mental health settings across New York and New Jersey. I’ve supported individuals dealing with complex trauma, anxiety, and relationship challenges in a wide range of environments—from clinical practices to community organizations.

But I knew I wanted to create a space that was deeply personal, specialized, and built for women like me—women like you.

That’s why I founded Restority Space, focusing my work on first-born daughters who are ready to break the cycle of perfectionism, over-responsibility, and self-sacrifice with a missions to rediscover themselves.

Therapy for First-Born Daughters Who Are Ready for Real Change

If you’re here, you’ve probably tried to push through, do more, and be better.
You’ve convinced yourself that if you just work harder or plan better, you’ll finally feel at ease.

But what if relief doesn’t come from doing more—but from learning to let go?

At Restority Space, I help high-achieving first-born daughters:

  • Untangle perfectionism and self-doubt

  • Stop over-functioning in relationships

  • Set boundaries without guilt

Trust themselves again—without second-guessing every decision

Therapy with me isn’t just about talking—it’s about giving you a clear, structured path to healing.

What Working With Me Feels Like

  •  I see you. You don’t have to prove that what you’ve been through matters. I already know it does.

  •  I get how your brain works. You’re rational, analytical, and results-driven—and you want a therapy process that actually moves you forward.

  • I balance structure with warmth. Therapy with me is both strategic and affirming—a space where you’ll be held accountable to your growth, without judgment.

  • I help you see what’s possible. You’re used to carrying everyone else’s dreams on your back. But what about your own? I want to help you create a life that feels like yours.
